Title: 'I Just Want To Be Soft'

For this exhibition, Plumb’ practice has engaged with the erotic and the stylization of the body, X-rated, and berated, playfully deconstructing fetish wear. The materials invoke the apparatus of a body but it's absent and merely existing through some bespoke way.
'Queer platonic intimacy is confronted by a fetishised gaze, an oiled up experience of bodies. I have captured queer platonic intimacy in an accessorised form, unobscured by the patriarchal fetishisation, and back into the soft hands of friends; a stimulating comfort that can be held when queer friends can't hold me, I can be vulnerable and held once again.
Awkward positions can melt with love, and I can just be soft with you. X
