Title: E is for the love of my life.

The letter E is for my mother, Eunice. She is a constant energy that flows through my soul. This piece is inspired by her resilience and reassurance of the importance of looking back at past emotional states, good or bad, and utilising them. Each technique used is a reflection of past emotional states morphed into a visionary speculation. I have mixed printing ink, oil, acrylic, chalk, and moulding plaster to create a piece that appears to be falling apart and wants to jump out of the canvas, but is very much together and in control. Every piece of art I create has an element of activism in it. As an artist of colour, it is not only my duty but my right to contextualise that through my work. The letter E is for you, the love of my life.
