Title: CAST

Specimen A : Himalayan Balsam
Specimen B: Hogweed

As a family we walk along the banks of the River Mersey. We stop to appreciate the delicate pink stalks of Himalayan Balsam, softly illuminated by the evening sun. Amongst them, the coarse stems of dried hogweed offer an interesting contrast. We take a sample of each home with us.

Collaboration whilst raising a baby has challenged the nature of how and where we can work together. We have explored the process of wax casting these natural forms, at home, using basic kitchen equipment, often alongside cooking our evening meal!
